History of Chicago, Illinois. ... In 1779, Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, a Haitian, built the first permanent settlement at the mouth of the Chicago River. Under the terms of the Treaty of Greenville in 1795, the Potawatomi Indians ceded a tract of land, six miles square, at the mouth of the Chicago River.

Our Soaps are wrapped in roving wool that is sourced from Corriedale wool. Corriedale sheep are a cross between Merino and Lincoln breeds.

Felt Soaps are a combination of washcloth and loofah. You can forget the sugar scrubs because our felt soaps will exfoliate your skin naturally.

As you continue to use your felt soap, the wool will continue to felt and shrink around the bar of soap.
